Shift Cleanroom Operative

Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, hands-on Clean Room Operative to join a successful food FMCG manufacturing business in the Milton Keynes area. The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will require an individual who is flexible to work rotating days/nights across a 12 hour shift (6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am).

The successful candidate will to work as part of a team of Production Operatives producing high quality product according to the manufacturing specification and food safety legislation.

The starting salary is £26,268. You will work a rotating 12 hour (3 on 3 off) shift pattern. The hours for this role are 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.

Duties

To operate Multivac and Flowrap machines, ensuring that the correct quantity of quality product is packed into the correct packaging.

Carry out changeovers and set up of Multivac and Flowrap machines with minimal downtime created.

Ensure that specifications/traceability sheets are followed and filled out correctly.

Ensure all quality checks are carried out and recorded on line computer system.

Maintain film usage targets and minimize rejects, by liaising with production staff and Team Leaders.

Run lines in accordance with approved speeds, to avoid bottle necks and in line with the company KPIs.

Work closely with the warehouse to ensure sufficient stock of film and that traceability and stock rotation procedures are followed. At end of run, return all stock to warehouse, scanned and wrapped correctly.

Our Ideal Candidate

Multivac and/or Flowrap experience running lines and production machines within a Food/FMCG setting

Able to work shift on a permanent basis

Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

Manual handling experience desirable

Level 2 Foundation in Food Hygiene and understanding of HACCP useful but not essential
