Regional Inventory Manager

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory Manager to join a world-class distribution business on a full-time, permanent basis in the Northamptonshire region. This is a truly exciting time to join the company, recognised as a top 10 global logistics provider. They have experienced significant growth and new contract wins, and now have opportunity for a highly competent, professional and very customer centric Inventory Manager to join their team.

You will report directly into the GM and provide essential support in identifying a wealth of continuous improvement initiatives that will really drive the operational efficiency and productivity of the business whilst identifying cost saving measures at every opportunity. This is not a typical inventory management role; the client requires an exceptionally strong, dynamic leader who is not afraid to challenge the statis quo. You will offer creative, considered solutions based on a full appraisal of the sites, space utilisation and current operational processes. It will be your chance to make your mark and be recognised for achieving excellence in this critical part of the business.

It will be a huge advantage if you have multi-user site experience with global high-profile accounts and are proficient in managing a range of SLA's from a demanding customer base. You will have already developed exceptional customer liaison skills with high level management (operating with stakeholders at the GM level) and be comfortable providing weekly and monthly reports to your customer base (and your GM).

You will also have responsibility for a team of Stock Controllers, Team Leaders and a Supervisor, and your dynamic management style will be one of engagement, strong leadership and setting the bar high as to what you expect them to deliver. It will be an advantage if you are Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen experienced and are a skilled project manager.
