Job Description

We are looking for a recruitment consultant to join our team in the Nottingham Office.

This role is to add to our well established and fast growing Construction division. Over the past couple of years we have seen some record breaking growth within Barker Ross Recruitment and we are looking for like minded people to support that.

As a Recruitment Consultant you will be required to work alongside other team members to build upon our existing client base. This is an opportunity to join the team in a full 360 recruitment role, securing new business whilst also being responsible for sourcing candidates to fill all available roles.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Business Development and sales activity, this is done via the phone and on site visits to client projects, there will also be presentations to be held at various Head Office meetings
  • You will have ownership of existing key clients, maintaining and building upon the relationship
  • Acting as a 'sector expert' to your clients as well as your candidates
  • Candidate attraction and interviewing
  • Creating and following a clear strategic business plan in order to achieve career and earning goals
  • Provide excellent levels of customer service

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Previous experience as recruitment consultant within a relevant industry sector
  • A strong and proven track record in sales, networking and/or client development abilities
  • Knowledge of industry rule and regulations
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong commercial business acumen
  • The ability to overcome objection and be persistent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Committed, flexible and resilient
  • Ability to react quickly and efficiently
  • You must have exceptional communication skills and be adaptable to working in a fast paced environment
  • A full UK driving license
