Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to implement their knowledge, skills and expertise as Quality Assurance Lead with a very friendly and expanding handling and fulfilment business in Market Harborough. You will play a pro-active and critical part in the day-to-day management and implementation of a number of quality accreditations and act as key liaison and lead across inter-company departments in the control and management of all such related documentation.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • H&S, waste management, risk assessments.
  • Drive the health and safety agenda on site to meet / exceed best practice
  • Maintain and control those systems where required
  • Experience with ISO standards - 9001 and 14001
  • Facilitate and manage documentation revision and generation in compliance with good documentation practices.
  • Implementing policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance, and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
  • Engaging with staff, customers and key stakeholders regarding performance on a day-to-day basis and support the delivery of objectives and targets, continual improvement or making current systems more efficient.
  • Occasional client meetings
  • Address risk prevention opportunities including accidents, fires, or other unsafe conditions

It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of logistics and supply chain but certainly strong administrative and project management skills are essential in addition to excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritise with a results driven continuous improvement mentality.

This would suit an individual who is looking to join a small, friendly team where you will be exposed to all facets of the business. It requires flexibility and an attitude of wanting to get stuck in to make a difference. It will not suit someone that is looking for a large structured corporate environment.
