We are recruiting for an experienced Production Scheduler to join one of the largest recyclers of steel in the UK. Their mission is to transform steel and related manufacturing into a global technology and product leader. Integral to this plan is sustainability, which drives what we do by using renewable sources where possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
Basic salary of up to £29,000 per annum depending upon experience
35 days holiday

Access to Occupational Health
Build and publish optimised schedules to the operation considering promised delivery dates, complex scheduling and technical rules etc.
Monitor internal supply chains to determine which strategy / corrective actions should be deployed
Managing priorities on processing and material launch into the remelting, rolling mill and finishing operations
Measurement of adherence to plan for operation, process flows, actual lead times and over dues
Balancing forecasted demand against production for constraint processes and products where make to order is not a feasible option
Extensive knowledge of a supply chain from order entry to despatch
In-depth knowledge of planning, service delivery and distribution processes
Able to work to tight deadlines as a primary interface between conflicting sales and production requirements
Excellent communication skills
