Office Manager

Job Description

A forward-thinking fulfilment, e-commerce, distribution, warehousing and storage solutions business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Office Manager to join a friendly, supportive team in Rutland on a full time, permanent basis (Mon to Fri) Ideally you will have experience in the logistics, warehousing and distribution sector, but this is not essential.

This is a great role for an ambitious individual to join this progressive organisation which has experienced significant growth, and with further expansion plans, they have an immediate opportunity for a hard-working Office Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for, and the interface between, the warehouse operations management team, their varied customer base, and the management of the current team of 6 administrators.

You will enjoy the buzz of a busy distribution and warehousing environment and take pro-active responsibility for a wide variety of duties. This will include all HR related matters regarding your team, management and delegation of administration tasks, the on-boarding of new clients and the allocation of new client requirements to your team. You will cover the admin duties during holiday and sickness, but there is real opportunity here on a wider scale to take get involved and lead a number of project related initiatives. This position would suit a highly pro-active, initiative driven and creative individual that enjoys implementing systems and procedures, and / or improving those currently in place to make the admin function and wider company operations as efficient as possible. It really is a blank canvass to make your mark and make the role your own.

It is essential that you are computer literate, have exceptional communication and inter-personal skills and work with accuracy and attention to detail. The qualities that are highly valued are professionalism, flexibility, an ability to use your initiative, client engagement and a willingness to do what it takes to deliver!
