Office Coordinator

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Office Co-ordinator at an Oxford based publishing company.

The Office Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall running and maintenance of the Oxford site and other infrastructures to ensure all facilities and services are functioning optimally and safely. This also includes the other physical areas of the building including parking, security, and cleaning.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing all maintenance, which includes negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
  • Comparing costs for various services and goods before choosing the best option.
  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment, office supplies etc and ordering items, as necessary.
  • To ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • To liaise with the HR Manager to ensure that the building is compliant with relevant health and safety regulations including fire regulations
  • Carry out monthly site checks to ensure the building is in a fit state and liaise with the landlord should repairs etc need to be carried out.
  • As advised by the HR Manager, maintain and issue new policies and procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.
  • To input purchase orders on Sage.
  • To liaise with the accounts department regarding payments and purchases for the Oxford site.

This is a permanent role, starting salary £22,070 depending on experience.

Working hours are 30 hours per week between Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
