Barker Ross Health and Social Care are currently recruiting for a Managing Director for a national client based in Grantham. This is mainly a home based role with travel required across the Midlands.

Job details

The Managing Director will provide a high quality service for people with a learning disability. In order to do this successfully a comprehensive knowledge of the learning disability sector and how to navigate its challenges is required. An acute commercials awareness will ensure the quality of service and carry out their strategic vision and successfully manage the subsidiaries overall performance. The Managing Director will need to assess, analyse and manage risk to ensure compliance. They will be accountable for adherence to all internal and external policies and legal frameworks. The Managing Director will deliver strong leadership by effectively coaching their operational team in best practice, setting clear objectives and providing professional development.


The Managing Director will be an experienced leader within the learning disability sector. A professional qualification in this sector would be desirable but is not essentials. As the Managing Director you will need robust problem solving skills to deliver resource, budget and risk management. You'll also take initiative; seek opportunities and network in order to develop in other areas of the UK. You'll need to build strong relationships, be a natural influencer and possess exceptional communication skills.

3 to 5 years experience required at Senior Management level or higher

Previous experience within learning disabilities

Valid DBS which is on the update service or current DBS

UK drivers licence
