Our client is a highly successful food manufacturing company in Doncaster. Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit multi skilled Maintenance Engineers, ideally electrically biased.
The Maintenance Engineers will be working as part of a team responsible for ensuring that nominated equipment and machinery is maintained in line and repaired when necessary to be available and fit for their purpose during production time; ensuring system is kept up to date and PPMs are completed; all aspects of site services repairs are managed effectively and efficiently to ensure the upkeep of the site is maintained; adherence at all times to Health and Safety / Food Safety codes; and having a close working relationship with Production and other business functions. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and secure workplace and workshop environment; execute the day-to-day tasks as instructed on the system meeting the target workload; support engineering manager with work load control; ensure work is passed from shift to shift and updated on workmate.
Working hours are Monday - Friday Double Days: 5am -2pm and 2pm -11pm rotating, or 6am -3pm and 3pm - midnight rotating.
The successful Maintenance Engineers should have a proven multi skilled maintenance engineer background and ideally be electrically biased; food manufacturing / FMCG experience would be highly advantageous. You should have expert root cause analysis / problem solving skills, and a minimum qualification of City and Guilds Electrical Engineering or equivalent. On a personal level you should be able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, commitment, reliability; have a professional approach at all times; work collaboratively with other departments to achieve best business outcome and have a delivery focussed mind-set whilst demonstrating flexibility to adapt and solve problems
