Inventory Manager

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory Manager to join a hugely successful specialist in IT consumable distribution on a full-time basis (Mon to Fri days) at their Nottingham site. The company is experiencing growth and is a leading global innovator in their field.

It is essential that you have a proven track record in inventory management as you will take full responsibility for the day to day control of company stock and customer owned stock for both the UK and worldwide markets. You will also manage a small inventory team to ensure stock is accurately maintained at all times. Responsibilities will extend to ensuring that stock movements to customer premises are accurately controlled in to, and out of Forward Stock Locations and Hubs. In addition to having sound appreciation of stock management, its integrity and the efficient storage and distribution of goods you will be IT proficient (Word and Excel).

You will act as the point of contact for a variety of customers and manage such projects that requires inventory control. As you will be involved in stock counts and the production of stock reports, it is essential that you work accurately and with great attention to detail. You will also demonstrate natural customer service skills, have a positive, can-do attitude and work with a sense of urgency.

As you will be managing a team, your approach will be both engaging, motivational, firm, fair and consistent. You will ensure that your team feels valued and that their contribution is recognised.

As an individual, you will have a natural focus on continuous improvement initiatives and enjoy finding creative solutions to make the operation run as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and enjoy working in a busy, fast moving, 24/7 pick and pack operation.
