Hygiene Supervisor

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Hygiene Supervisor to join one of the UK's Leading artisan Producers of specialist Mediterranean foods based in Park Royal - London.

My client is committed to the finest quality ingredients with product innovation second to none and have a long heritage influenced by Mediterranean family recipes. Having grown from a small family-run business, they have become a market leader supplying national and to international customers.

Responsibilities:

  • To supervisor all hygiene operatives.
  • To sign off/verify all cleaning record in real time.
  • To maintain and work to relevant health & safety requirements as laid down by the company.
  • To check and record the equipment safety and integrity prior to use every day and report to Supervisor any malfunctions on equipment.
  • To work within the HACCP and Quality systems implemented by the company.
  • To follow Good Manufacturing practices and clean the hygiene equipment after use.

  • To work within hygiene rules, COSHH standard and Quality systems set by the company.
  • To act as first point of contact for Chemical supply and resolve issues related to external audits.
  • To have a working knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to hygiene matters
  • To help train other staff or cover holiday absence of team members.
  • To cover the absence of work colleague and maintain hygiene standards set by the company.
  • To work and control labour(ie staff work plan/schedule) and chemical / sundry supplies.
  • Good understanding of BRC / IFS / Customer audit compliant

Essential Knowledge, skills and experience required:

Good understanding of English language

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time schedules.

Good knowledge and experience of BRC/ IFS and Customer audits

Ability to lift and carry up to 15Kgs.

Ability to operate cleaning chemicals/equipment.

Ability to train others in safe use of chemical and health and safe practises.

Salary is £22k - £24k plus Benefits

You will work a 45 hours a week from 6am - 3pm - however there is flexibility to start late. Over-time is also available.

Saturday working is required with a day off in the week.
