HR Assistant - Leicester

Job Description

We are looking for a HR Assistant to join our HR department at Head Office, you will have extensive experience of administration, a keen eye for detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

The successful HR Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of offer letters and contracts and ensuring files are compliant
  • Coordinating all contract changes, updating People HR and sending out letters
  • Preparing leaver correspondence, calculating outstanding annual leave, and updating the HR database
  • Dealing with day to day HR queries at all levels by phone, email and in person
  • Right to work checks
  • Manage sickness absence report for payroll 4weekly
  • Travel to other geographical sites as required
  • Ensuring all People HR data is updated and maintained accurately
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices in the organisation
  • Supporting the HR Manager with any requirements
  • Co-ordinate all health & safety across the Group including co-ordination of Branch Health & Safety Co-ordinator and DSE assessments
  • Assisting with Maternity/Paternity leave
  • DVLA checks of new starters
  • DBS checks of new starters
  • Assisting with the annual group conference and charity events
  • Assisting with onboarding and retention
