Housing Support Worker - EEA Nationals

Job Description

Our client is one of the largest charities in London that support homelessness and vulnerable people. They have multiple service for clients such as young people, clients with a history of homelessness, mental health or substance misuse issues.

Position Available: Housing Support Worker - EEA Nationals, based across Wandsworth, Richmond, Kingston and Wandsworth, £25-27kpa, 3-4 months ongoing, Contract, 37.5 hours per week

Role Purpose:

  • Intensive work with a small caseload EEA Nationals who are temporarily accommodated under the Suspension of Derogation
  • Full assessments, including health care and social care needs, and creating care plan
  • Supporting them apply for Settled Status and benefits
  • Supporting them accessing NHS, and social care services
  • Supporting them to access employment
  • Support them in an accommodation pathway


  • Homelessness, outreach, supported housing or treatment experience
  • Experience of recovery focused service provision
  • Experience of assertive outreach
  • Key working, support planning, risk assessment experience and group work experience
  • A second language desirable (Roman or Polish preferred)
  • Case coordination in a multi-agency setting
  • Experience of working successfully and creatively with multiple and complex needs
  • Experience or creative partnership working
  • Support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding knowledge
  • Knowledge of resettlement pathways and options
  • Knowledge of current drug and alcohol provision and relevant services, pathways and conditions
