Our client is a large provider of support and housing services in London. They support clients with various complex needs.

Position Available: Head of Mental Health - South London and Central, Permanent, £56,160kpa plus attractive benefits package, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role:

The Head of Mental Health role is a Senior role within the Senior Operational

Team, providing effective leadership and creating a clear vision and operating

model for mental health focused services. The role holder will have

demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in mental health

provision and be able to effectively engage and collaborate with clinicians in

statutory services.

The Head of Mental Health will be responsible for creating effective service

models for new services and transforming existing provision, with the inclusion

of digital innovation, ensuring all staff and managers delivering support to

people with mental health issues have the resources, tools and models to

underpin their work, ensuring that quality and impact is life changing. They will

lead innovative developments in mental health provision and establish or win

new services, through excellent stakeholder management and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Main Purpose of role: To deliver against mental health contracts for accommodation based services, community focused and floating support services and to drive innovation in our work to support people with mental health issues and progress opportunities to build new partnerships and grow and diversify income.

Reportees: Area Managers of Mental Health services and the Counselling Programme Lead

Key Skills

  • Deliver against contractual requirements and organisational KPIs for mental health services including accommodation based, community focused and floating support models.
  • Develop strategically relevant delivery models for people with mental health issues.
  • Deliver against a recovery focused mental health strategy.
  • Influence, negotiate and engage with a range of key stakeholders within the wider delivery of mental health services, including statutory clinical partners.
  • Work with Business Development to respond opportunities, and identify gaps in delivery to create new services and interventions for people with mental health issues, including digital interventions, and to maintain a collaborative dialogue with key stakeholders
  • Convene and chair a Mental Health Project Team with colleagues from relevant departments to construct and shape new projects and influence policy.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to addressthem appropriately.
