Fleet Finance Manager

Job Description

One of the leading providers in the last-mile parcel delivery network has an opportunity for a Fleet Finance Manager to be based at one of their sites in Peterborough.

This role will play a critical part within the Fleet Management team reporting to Head of Fleet. Responsible in ensuring that all Fleet invoices are compliant, accurate and paid on time. The role will also own the development of a robust invoice tracking process that is fully auditable and will provide input to financial planning cycles on Fleet related costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a robust fleet financial process and system to manage and track all fleet related costs.
  • Manage and own approval and processing of invoicing/payment process for all suppliers.
  • Analyse Fleet utilisation trends and lead response to maximise company efficiency, reducing cost exposure associated with idle fleet, damage / repair costs and ancillary fleet costs.
  • Lead fleet supply forecasting procurement and implementation for peak requirements and subsequent idle fleet stock disposal.
  • Implement and supervise controls and KPI measurements for all Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial procedures including actuals, plan and, forecast...
  • Identify financial business risks and opportunities in year. Evaluate impact, propose changes, implement improvements with business to improve performance.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Proven experience in the fleet or logistics industry with understanding of fleet management and related KPIs
  • Experience in controlling, accounting, or business analytics in relevant field.
  • Highly motivated forward-thinking approach and willing to embrace change and lead finance improvement projects
  • Track record of creating effective reporting and data analysis with strong analytical skills combined with proficiency in Excel
  • Experience creating, influencing, and interacting with a range of key supplier relationships as well as internal cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle and prioritize when presented with a high volume of engagements

This position comes with 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays.

Salary for this position is £35k-£40k
