Engineering Coordinator

Job Description

An exciting Opportunity has become available for Engineering Coordinator to join a company who is a world leader in packaging solutions. This role is a full-time permanent positions based Aylesbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the shift of the day complete the maintenance plan to a high standard and that the relevant reporting protocol is followed. You will be well versed in the use of CMMS and understand the importance of the data input. You will lead handovers and direct resources as necessary.

You will be key in the development of junior engineers either by coaching and mentoring or identifying upskilling opportunities. Working alongside another Coordinator and the Engineering Manager you will be building a strong team and setting high standards. You will be bringing the best out in the team around you.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily direction of shift engineers to ensure compliance to maintenance plan and ongoing support to production team.
  • Attend daily planning and operational morning meetings.
  • Monitor use and compliance of CMMS reporting and stock withdrawal.
  • Ensure stock levels of components are maintained and take necessary action in the event of outage.
  • Lead by example in matters of health and safety.
  • Be a driving force in Reliability and Best Practice in the maintenance function.
  • Undertake training, internally and externally when required.
  • Promote knowledge sharing.
  • Management of contractors and business partner professionals.
  • Lead minor, cross functional projects.
  • Analyse data and formulate plans for downtime reduction initiatives and maintenance activities.
  • Work alongside OEM experts and use support networks as required.
  • Obtain quotations, raise purchase orders and manage incoming and outgoing stores items.

About you:

  • You will be an Electrically Qualified Engineer, ideally from an FMCG Background.
  • Experience with conveying systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, automatic warehousing and a fast production environment is desirable but not essential.

The Salary for the Position is £40,000

The working hours for this role is 4 on 4 off rotating days - 7am - 7pm
