Dimensional Laboratory Calibration Engineer

Job Description

Our client is a highly reputable and established calibration and repair service company supporting engineering clients in a variety of sectors.

Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit a permanent Dimensional Laboratory Calibration Engineer, based from their Leicester head office but the role will be approx 50% on site based

The Dimensional Laboratory Calibration Engineer will be calibrating instrumentation to specific parameters and in line with industry standards

The successful Dimensional Laboratory Calibration Engineer will:

have the ability to maintain an effective working knowledge of techniques and trends in dimensional calibration, inspection and testing techniques

be able to deliver safety critical services to customers working in accordance with prescribed industry standards

take pride in having a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

be self-motivated and driven, able to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet customer deadlines where required

have experience of using/calibrating dimensional measuring instruments such as micrometers, dti's, vernier callipers, height gauges etc

have previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering environment

be PC literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications in particular MS Excel

have Full (UK) driving licence

must be flexible as overtime may be required.

Any experience of working in a UKAS laboratory or similar environment would be highly advantageous.
