Our client based in Lincoln is one of the leading public sector providers of customer services and they are currently seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their team as soon as possible.
The role will be temporary working on an ongoing basis, however, could also turn permanent for the right candidate.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. The pay rate for this role is £8.72 per hour.
Working within the Children's Services Department, you will be offering a high quality service to customers, often supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
Duties of the role will include: -
- Being the first point of contact for anyone that calls into Customer Services to report concerns about a child
- Taking calls from members of the public and professionals such as police officers, nurses and school teachers
- Gathering as much information and detail from the caller as possible, using your professional curiosity to fact find
- Writing up information gathered against a framework on the internal system and passing over to social services
The subject matter of calls can be very difficult, so you will need to be a strong and resilient character and be mentally prepared to deal with situations that are sometimes distressing. The decisions that are made for the children are based on the evidence you have gathered, so you will also need to be clear, concise and have a cool-headed communication style to provide that information.
Candidates should have good customer service skills and be competent in Microsoft applications. Office and call centre experience would be preferable. Any form of social care experience would be advantageous.
A DBS check will be required for this role.
