Continuous Improvement Manager (Northamptonshire)

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join a leading warehousing and distribution businesses on a full-time, permanent basis in the Northamptonshire region. This is a truly exciting time to join the company, as they continue to expand their portfolio of strategic clients and consolidate their market position.

Reporting into the GM, you will develop and deliver innovative warehouse solutions with a track record of improving performance through change, designing viable, robust operating solutions focusing on strategic sectors.

Following the analysis of current process performance with senior management you will implement a lean manufacturing culture and promote this throughout the business. Experience of lean techniques and Kaizen (Six Sigma qualified would be an advantage) you will train and support managers embedding continuous improvement initiatives. You will also have direct man-management responsibility for a team of two.

The successful candidate will act as a reference point for operational KPI's and performance benchmarks, whilst supporting end to end projects including customer engagement, solution definition, proposal and presentation.

As an individual you will have expert knowledge of the logistics industry, possess strong analytical qualities and are competent in the use of solution design tools. Previous experience in working within operational logistics environments and solution design is essential.

You will be a self-starter, positive, pro-active and deliver your solutions in an engaging, inclusive manner with an ability to influence. Of course, excellent communication and inter-personal skills are a given as is the ability to interact with all internal and external stakeholders.
