Client Support Worker - Mental Health (Leyton)
Job Description
Our client is one of the largest providers of supported accommodation services various clients such as young people, clients with a history of homelessness, mental health or substance misuse issues. They aim to help vulnerable people find opportunities to change their lives and futures.
Position Available: Client Support Worker - Mental Health (Leyton), 3-6 months, £11.71 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
Role Purpose:
To organise and deliver care support services for people with mental health problems which recognise the needs of a multi‑racial society to clients resident in the Forest Community Project.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- To act as the day to day manager of the project on a rota basis with access to advice and assistance from a qualified worker, as described in Policies and Procedures.
- To act as a keyworker for residents identified by the Manager.
- To compile care programmes and see that they are enacted with access to advice and assistance from a qualified worker.
- To assess risk and respond appropriately to clients in crisis.
- To work directly with residents using relevant experience in mental health and in line with the company's philosophy of normalisation with access to advice and assistance from a qualified worker.
- To attain a thorough knowledge of all the residents' medical social and physical needs and respond to them.
- To produce such written material or reports regarding the residents or any other matter relating to services as may be required by the Manager.
- To ensure a safe and comfortable domestic environment for the residents.
- To ensure efficient collection of housing charges.
- To follow and comply with such administrative procedures and routines as identified by the Manager.

Experience required:
Experience of supporting clients with a history of mental health issues or complex needs such as substance misuse issues or a history of homelessness.
Experience of key working and managing a caseload of clients
Experience of supporting clients in a supported accommodation or floating support.
