Job Description

Cleaning Janitor

Our client are looking a cleaning janitor for their sports facility in Hatfield.

The cleaners play a vital role in our company by ensuring the gym is cleaned to a high standard in order to create a comfortable and safe place for the members, there is a lot to do in a short amount of time so we want our team to take pride in every wipe and sweep they do.The 2 values we stick by are;- Be Personable by providing excellent customer service- To be your own hero From the very moment anyone walks through the door, we ensure every member feels like they belong to somewhere and is a part of our Out-rivals community.

The Role: Cleaning of changing rooms and gym floor.

Monday - Friday 14:30 - 22:30

Sunday 9:00am-9:00pm

Daily duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning, sweeping and vacuum cleaning, emptying of bins, washing, dusting and polishing surfaces, including floors, walls, tables, cleaning of toilet areas, to include replenishing of toilet rolls, soap and hand towels

  • -To follow the agreed cleaning schedule

    -To be able to work independently without supervision

    -To provide excellent customer service and prompt response to any task required

    -Punctuality and reliability is essential

    -Be proactive and able to spot areas that need improving and rectify cleaning defects

    -To monitor the cleaning cupboards as well as all the equipment used by the cleaning team

    -Stock Control

    -To ensure all works carried out are completed on time and with due observation to appropriate Health & Safety requirements

Skills

Good attention to detail

-Friendly with a 'can do' attitude

-Experience of working in a similar role within the sector

-Experience with cleaning methods and equipment including deep cleaning machinery

-Proactive in being able to spot areas that need improving

-Resourceful and self-motivated

-Ability to work independently and use initiative

-Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work

-Good communication skills

  • (BICSc qualification would be desired though not essential as relevant training will be provided)
