Our client is an established specialist engineering services and manufacturing company. Due to continued success they are now looking to recruit a permanent Buyer for their Leicestershire site.
Duties for the Buyer role include: buying engineering parts, materials and services, and the supervision of 1 x procurement admin person, but also a smaller Quality Assurance element in that the person fulfilling this role also co-ordinates the maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation.
Responsible for the daily procurement of the parts, materials and services required by an engineering business. Placing orders, negotiating commercial terms, keeping track of goods inwards deliveries to the schedule, approving payments for delivered goods, resolving issues of dispute.
The ideal Buyer candidate will have:
Engineering knowledge and experience of buying in an engineering environment - essential.
Experience of ISO 9001 or Quality Assurance advantageous
Computer literate with clean driver's license.
