Business Development Manager

Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Business Development Manager with a track record of success within the warehousing and distribution sector to join a very friendly and expanding handling and fulfilment business in Leicestershire. You will form part of the senior management team and will be an essential addition in driving the company to that next important phase of their growth.

The business has been at the forefront of the logistics and promotional marketing support services sector and works with a wide range of domestic and international brands helping to drive sales and build better relationships between clients and their customers

With a distribution background in business development it is essential that you have expertise in devising strategy to market the businesses products and services, can quickly identify, target, grow and develop existing and future business, ensure account profitability and client satisfaction in equal measure, negotiate and maintain client contracts and SLA's and nurture and coordinate staff performance.

You will be equally adept at producing robust and challenging client proposals as you are at managing relationships. You will be as comfortable producing written tenders and quotes as you will be using your verbal communication skills. You will understand the need to balance sales with a pragmatic and managed approach alongside colleagues in our operations, client service and IT teams. Financial acumen combined with an ability to respond quickly and accurately to client needs will be essential requirements for the role. You will be able to demonstrate a passion for your client's business that is greater than the client's own. As part of the management team, make a contribution to the growth and development of all aspects of their culture and how they manage and motivate their staff.
