Job Description: This position is being advertised by Barker Ross who are operating as an Employment Agency. Our client is a leading Waste Management company and due to increased business growth, they are looking to add an experienced maintenance engineer at their local depot. Ideally you will be from a Waste Management background but other sectors will be considered. You will need to be mainly from a mechanical – you will be required to help with both reactive and preventative maintenance of site machinery. This machinery will include balers, chopping machines and compactors. Any qualifications and experience with welding and fabrication would be a big advantage. You will be working 5 days a week 0700-1630 but you will be expected to work every Saturday 0700-1200. Overtime will be available also
Job Description: This position is being advertised by Barker Ross who are operating as an Employment Business. Our client is expanding their existing team at their Waste Depot and are looking to recruit a Weighbridge Operator. Your duties will be to weigh the vehicles coming in with their waste materials. Issuing cheques to public customers and arranging BACS payments to their business customer, doing other legislative checks. On top of these duties, the rest fo this role will be performing general admin and telephone duties. So experience using Microsoft office, emails and faxing would be required. This role will include dealing with visitors to the depot so you will need to be confident and be able to deal with people from different levels. This role will be on a temp-perm basis so you will be taken on permanent after a qualifying period. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday – with start time around 7am and finishing around 4.30pm. You will also be required to work every saturday morning too

They have both day & night shifts so you would need to be flexible. Previous experience in a waste environment would be an advantage but not essential. You must have a valid 360 ticket. There are other vehicles available to drive so if you have experience and tickets on other machines, this could be an advantage. You may be required at times to help with the recycling operations so the work may not be driving the 360 excavator for the whole of the shift.
