You will record the inspection findings and use your creative skills in developing new and improved recording and analysis techniques. Being able to identify and implement corrective actions on those findings is an essential tool, which should be used in conjunction the relevant parties. Using root cause analysis to prevent reoccurance and the ability to analyse those results is key to success in this role. The Person: Ideally with a strong background in materials test within an engineering environment is essential, and either be qualified to HNC/ONC level, or be a time served mechanical apprentice. You will be skilled in using some or most of the following techniques – NDT, Surface Checking, Ferrite, PMI, Hardness and also possess experience in ISO9001. Excellent analytical and reporting skills are preferred, with good PC skills a must.
